Daisy was originally meant to be my mom’s trail horse, but after an accident that prevented her from riding, Daisy and I began training together. That unexpected turn allowed us to transition from trail riding to competing in barrel racing, poles, and cow events. After a year of hard work, Daisy has become a vital part of my rodeo journey, and I now use her for cow events, where she truly shines.
This year, I was fortunate to lease Jasper, a mini who helped me learn to drive a horse. Through our many lessons together, we became a team and competed in 4-H shows. Jasper introduced me to new opportunities, including driving bigger horses at the fair. I’m grateful for the experience and skills I gained, and for having Jasper by my side as I developed a love for driving.
